DefenseIQ is an AI-powered legal analysis platform designed to assist licensed criminal defense attorneys with document analysis, audio and video transcription, case law research, and case management. The Service uses artificial intelligence to identify potential defense issues, relevant case law, and evidentiary concerns in case materials uploaded by the user.
DefenseIQ is a tool to assist attorneys — it does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed attorney. All analysis, case law citations, and recommendations generated by the Service are intended solely to support the independent judgment of qualified defense counsel. No attorney-client relationship is created between the user and DefenseIQ.
The Service is intended for use by licensed attorneys and authorized legal professionals only. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify DefenseIQ immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. DefenseIQ is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with your professional obligations regarding attorney-client privilege and client confidentiality. DefenseIQ does not use your uploaded case materials for training AI models or share them with third parties. You should obtain appropriate client consent before uploading privileged materials to any third-party platform.

DefenseIQ offers subscription plans with a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
The Service, including its software, design, and AI models, is the exclusive property of DefenseIQ. You retain ownership of all case materials you upload. By uploading materials, you grant DefenseIQ a limited license to process those materials solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DEFENSEIQ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED ANALYSIS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEFENSEIQ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR ADVERSE LEGAL OUTCOMES.
You agree to indemnify and hold DefenseIQ harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or professional responsibility rule.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.
DefenseIQ reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or by posting a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
